Lucy F. Engelhardt

Lucy Flora (Robinson) Engelhardt, 97, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Lucy was born on January 27, 1929 in Cooperstown, NY to the late Garrett G. and Marie (Walker) Robinson. She grew up in Richfield Springs where she lived on a family farm before moving to Albany, NY to attend Austin’s Beauty School. She enjoyed working as a beautician at The Moderne Beauty Salon.

On May 15, 1954 Lucy married William F. Engelhardt in Albany, NY. Her passion was her family. She and Bill enjoyed camping and fishing with their family. She also loved baking, gardening, crocheting, knitting and attending Arts and Crafts with her friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Engelhardt and many brothers and sisters. 

Lucy is survived by her beloved children, William M. (Carol) Engelhardt and Deborah A. (Robert) Neidermire. She was cherished grandmother of Sarah (Matthew) Gregory, Laura (Steve) Dziuban, Lisa (Brent) Shovan, Steven (Jenna) Neidermire, Jill (Matthew) Chase, Kimberly (Benjamin) Nickerson and Daniel (Claudia) Neidermire. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and one brother, Warren (Chuck) Robinson.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Falynn of Albany Hospice. She made a special connection with Lucy and brought a smile to her face during her during her final days at home.

Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a funeral service to immediately follow, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment to follow at Albany Rural Cemetery.
