Louis J. Andrews, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 with his loving family by his side.
Louis was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Bessette) Andrews.
Louis is the devoted husband of 59 years, to Patricia (Ossenfort) Andrews.
He proudly served our country with the United States Marine Corps.
Louis enjoyed golfing with his friends, getting several "hole in ones", especially while playing in the Schenectady County Amateur Golf Tournament in 1973. He loved reading mystery novels and crime stories.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters; Anna Mary Gorton, Alice Ackerson, Blanche Chambers and his great grandson, Logan Nadler.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife; Patricia Andrews, his children, Laura (Jim) Gardinier, Deborah (Jim) Beck, Louis (Susan) Andrews and Janet (Dale) Nadler. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405
Washington Avenue Ext. Albany, NY 12205 in Louis' memory.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 12:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, New York.
