Loren Douglas Sirko, 75, of Waterford, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 27th, following a serious brief illness. He was surrounded by his loved ones and his faith.
Born in Indianapolis, IN, Loren was the eldest son of the late George and Frances (Petersen Sirko. He was one of eight siblings, Leslie Hammer (Wolfgang - deceased), Janice Miceli (Jol both deceased), Mark Sirko (Cindy), Linda Viglotti (Patrick), David Sirko (Elizabeth leceased), Fran Kisha, and George Sirko.
Loren is survived by his son, Brendon Sirko and grandson, Kyle. He was predeceased by his daughter Andrea Sirko.
He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who cherished his family near and far, his faith and his country. He was known for his quick wit, kind heart and unforgettable stories. His smile could light up a room. He was a talented musician and a lifelong lover of all music, nature, animals, cars and sports. Loren found joy in simple moments and deep connections.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to friend, Maria Perry, and nephew, John Miceli, fo heir loving companionship in Loren's final days
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Loudonville, NY.
A celebration of Loren's life will be held at a later date.
