Lois G. Southard

Lois G. Southard passed away on April 1, 2018 after a brief illness.
Lois was the daughter of the late Lewis V. Griffin and Gladys Kent Griffin. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold B. Southard, to whom she was married for sixty five years before his passing. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Shepard, and Joyce Hutwelker, and her son in law, William Coghill.
Lois was a graceful, elegant woman of great religious faith. She enjoyed creating a warm, artful, and loving home for her family and friends. Lois enjoyed reading which made her well suited for her career as an assistant librarian at Emma Willard School, where she worked for thirty four years. Lois was actively involved in her church and always willing to volunteer in her community when there was a need.
Lois is survived by her sister, Janet Gordon, her two daughters, Marilyn Southard Warshawsky (David) of Baltimore, MD, Cynthia Southard Coghill (late William) of Latham, NY, her five grandchildren, Matthew Warshawsky (Cara) of Ashland, Oregon, Jennifer Warshawsky Zigrino (Richard) of Louisville, Colorado, William Kent Coghill of Boulder, Colorado, Michael Hunter Coghill of NY, NY, and Daniel Alexander Coghill of Nederland, Colorado, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear "third" daughter, Barbara Wiley, of Glenmont, NY.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
