Lois Catherine Burke (Hill), 95, Born June 7, 1930 in Bolton Landing, New York, A lifetime Albany resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family of children and loved ones, on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Lois, was the daughter of the late Leroy D. and Margaret H Hill, and sister to predeceased Brothers, Leroy D Jr, and Marvin Hill. Lois is also predeceased by her infant son, James Burke.

She was the devoted wife, to the late Theodore R Burke.

Lois was a longtime employee of Albany County, working for the Albany County Daycare Dept, well into her 70s’. She had a Love of our New York State Adirondack’s since childhood, frequent visitor of Raquette Lake, with her grandparents, parents and siblings. Also annual camping with her children in Port Jerry and the Lake George region.

She was a homemaker to all, she loved singing, playing the piano and sketching. Along with collecting owl figurines.

She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and recently great, great grandmother.

Lois is survived by her children; Linda (Frank) Paonessa, Sara Jean (Richard) Hill, Theodore (Bethany) Burke, David (Elaine) Burke, Susan (David) Burke, William Burke, Joseph (Lisa) Burke and Robert (Lori) Burke. She was a proud grandmother to; Dawn, Samina, Nathaniel, Sabrina, Justin, Matthew, Theodore, Marisa, Robert Jr., Payton and Olivia. Great grandmother to; Megan, Deanne, Miyanna, Michelina, Sophia, Noe’ and Nicolas’. Great great grandmother to Genevieve.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA and or to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, for her love of all animals.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY on Sunday June 7, 2026 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be private.
