Lisa Ann Grimes

Lisa Ann Grimes was born on March 25, 1961, to Richard Arthur Grimes Sr. and Kathleen Adele McAlphin. She was born and raised in Albany, New York, and graduated from Albany High School in 1978. She worked for the city school district for many years. As well as caring for others as a CNA, working in a nursing home, hospitality field and many other occupations.

Lisa is predeceased by her late fiancé Alexander Stokes Jr. and son Alexander Jahaad Stokes III. As well as her sisters Myrtle Perry and Rachelle Grimes.

Lisa birthed 4 beautiful children: Junese Adel Grimes. Junay I-landa Spence, Juneka Nicolle ( Tre’Jion) Smith and Alexander Jahaad Stokes III. Grandmother and Great grandmother to Nigeliek Grimes, Nigianna Grimes, Li’Zjadah Spence, King Nasimer Grimes, Nieko Grimes King Zamear Grimes. She leaves behind her siblings: Richard A Grimes Jr, Victoria Grimes, David Grimes, Gary Grimes, Hannah Johnson, Robert Hymes, Rodney Grimes, Elmer Grimes, Yulanda Freeman. And a plethora of cousins, nieces and nephews, god daughters and god sons. Lisa loved to cook for her children and family. Busting a move when she could and was the most loving and caring person to know. She’d give anybody the shirt off her back. To know her was to love her. She’ll forever be loved and missed.
