Linda Myers, 73, of Nassau, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
Born in Albany, Linda was the devoted daughter of Dolores Coons and James Fordley, lovingly known as Guma and Pop. She took great pride in caring for her parents when they needed her most.
Linda loved playing music, dancing to the oldies, going to bingo, and the occasional trip to the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Over the years, Linda worked at many places, including Joy Department Store, Hamilton Printing, Albany Med, and Nelson House, however her favorite job was watching her grandsons when they were young. She spent many happy years caring for them and spoiling them, and the time she shared with them as they grew up meant everything to her.
Linda was a kind person, devoted to her entire family. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edward; and her brothers, Mike and JimBoy. She is now reunited with them, along with her dear friends and family Doris Martin and Edna Vandenburg, whom she missed so very much.
Linda is survived by her son, Edward Myers Jr.; her daughter, Angel Stein, and son-in-law, Michael. She will be deeply missed by her grandsons, Thomas and Ethan, of whom she was so proud. She will also be missed by her closest friends and family, Deb Adams, Donna Mellen, and Dolly Pannitti. She was so grateful for their love and support, especially over the last few years. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Linda requested that there be no services and no obituary. She always said her daughter didn't listen very well, so this obituary was written with love. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, November 28, 2026. Details will be announced at a later date.
