Linda A. Lassonde

Linda A. Lassonde passed away on October 1, 2026 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 22, 1949, in Niskayuna, New York, to Nelson J. Kenney and Carmella (Vitetta) Kenney. Linda graduated from Albany High School and later worked for the City of Albany as a school crossing guard for over 25 years.

On June 6, 1970 she married the love of her life, Ronald F. Lassonde. For 56 years they shared a beautiful partnership built on unconditional love, deep devotion and mutual support for one another and their families.

She took immense pleasure in hosting a Christmas party for her nieces and nephews for over 20 years and attending other family get togethers. She enjoyed family vacations, camping, visiting casinos and playing pinochle. Additionally, she enjoyed attending fan conventions with family and performing volunteer work for the Blessed Sacrament Church which included church festivals and chaperoning the church’s youth group.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald F. Lassonde; her cherished son, Ronald J. Lassonde; her devoted sister, Janet Ferrari, and husband, Frank Ferrari; her close sister-in-law, Laurie Kenney; and loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her deeply missed parents, Nelson and Carmella Kenney, her brother, Nelson G. Kenney, and her sister, Donna (Kenney) Soave.

Services will be held at New Comer Funeral home at 343 New Karner Road Colonie, NY 12205 on Friday, October 9, 2026. Visitation will be between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. with a brief service to follow. Private internment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery.
