Linda (Engels) Jordan

SCHENECTADY - Linda (Engels) Jordan passed peacefully on August 9 at the age of 66.

She was the loving wife of Robin Jordan, grandmother of Michelle Glokler (Dillon) and great-grandmother of John Michael Glokler. She is survived by her brothers, Douglas Engels and William Engels.

Linda attended Mansfield State College in Mansfield PA, where she made lifelong friends in the Delta Zeta Sorority. The recent sorority reunion was a chance to renew and catch up that Linda greatly enjoyed.

She spent her career in the insurance business, working first at Butler and Brown in Delmar NY and then for many years at Yeager and Flynn Associates. Both customers and co-workers became lifelong friends.

Linda lived her life with a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that made her world beautiful. Her home and her backyard were her sanctuary, a place where she found joy, tending her garden and reading. She loved camping in the Adirondack Mountains, surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature. A lover of the hunt for treasures, Linda had a special fondness for flea markets and garage sales. Linda’s warmth and kindness will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a celebration of Linda’s life to immediately follow at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 21, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY.
