Lillian E. Tersigni

Latham- Lillian Elizabeth Mastro Tersigni passed away on January 28, 2018 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center in Schenectady. She was born on January 22, 1922 in Schenectady, NY. Daughter of the late Rose and Nicola Mastro, beloved sister of Alfred Mastro, the late Gene, Arkley and Louis Mastro. She was a 1940 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and then worked as an Assistant Manager at Kreseges and worked on the assembly line at GE, filling in for soldiers overseas in WWII. Lillian then worked for the Navy Dept., as an Executive Secretary.

Lillian married Joseph Tersigni on March 2, 1946. They were married for 60 years prior to his passing in 2006. Together they had 8 children; Patricia Tersigni of Niskayuna, Joseph (Patricia) Tersigni of Latham, Sandra (Peter) Neefus of Ghent, John (Cynthia) Tersigni of Virginia Beach, Lisamarie Tersigni of Latham, NY, Anita (Douglas) Wimberley of Church Point, LA, James (Colleen) Tersigni of Highland and the late Marcia Tersigni, who passed away at 15 months of age. Lillian also leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Kimberly, Rebecca, Justin, Stephanie, Francesca, Joshua, Joseph, Rachael, Kristin, Nicholas, Lillian, Jacob and Melissa. In addition, Lillian is survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian's greatest joy, was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at the church from 10:45 am to 11 am prior to Mass to offer their final respects. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Ave. Schenectady.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the a food pantry of one's choice.
