ALBANY- Lewis Kenneth Neimeyer, 88, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Ken was born on August 23, 1926 in Albany, NY, to the late Lewis and Anne Neimeyer. He attended high school in Colonie, NY, and then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the war Ken returned to Albany where he met his late wife of 61 years, Bev. Ken retired from the U.S. Postal Service as Mail Carrier in 1985. Ken had a green thumb and loved his garden. In his free time Ken liked to fish, and work with his hands making things out of wood. All of his family will treasure the things that he made them.
Ken is survived by his children; Dick (Mary Ann) Neimeyer, and Sharon Cable, his grandchildren; Tina, Jennifer, Matthew (Cindy), Elena, and Kelly, his great-granddaughter, Krissy, and his brother, Donald (Georgianne) Neimeyer.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 10:00-1:00pm with a service immediately following. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Colonie, NY.
