Leonard David Moses, 69, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, in his lifelong home of Troy, New York.

Born on May 20, 1956, in Troy, NY, Leonard was the beloved son of the late Sam and Gertrude Moses. He grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of his large family, cherishing the bonds he shared with his many siblings. Affectionately known as "Mummy," he was always the family’s protector, a role he embraced with pride and devotion.

Leonard was the cherished brother of Sam Moses Jr., Frank Moses, George Moses, Sally Walston, Ruby Johnson, Paul Moses, Rebecca Moses, Joseph Moses, Stanley Grady, Sean Grady, Sandra Grady, and Tya Nelson. His love for his family was boundless, and he was deeply loved in return.

One of the proudest moments of Leonard’s life was the birth of his son, Leonard Moses Jr., who brought him endless joy and fulfillment. Leonard took great pride in being a father and always prioritized his family above all else.

Leonard leaves behind two grandchildren, Amayah & Messiah Moses, a host of nieces, nephews and a very special friend Kathy O’Malley

Leonard’s passion for cars was unmatched. From tinkering under the hood to sharing stories about his favorite vehicles, he found endless joy in all things automotive. His love for cars was not just a hobby but a way to connect with others, often sparking conversations and friendships that lasted a lifetime. He also held a great passion for music and had fond memories of his years participating in Drum Corp with the Muchachos.

Leonard’s kind heart, protective nature, and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at 11:00 am for a memorial service at 12: 00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189 Interment will follow ay Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
