LOUDONVILLE- Leo F. Edmunds, 86, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018 at Evergreen Commons.
He was born to Leo and Gladys Edmunds in Port Henry, NY.
Leo was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in the Korean War. Leo was a master craftsman specializing in furniture restoration and was employed at various furniture companies throughout the capital district. Leo (a.k.a. "Uncle Leo") was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was a proud member of the American Legion J.E. Zaloga Post 1520. He loved hunting, fishing, vacationing in Maine and the Adirondacks. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him.
Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion R. Edmunds and his sisters, Doris Hatin, Audrey Rivette, Thelma Hughes and Marilyn Edmunds.
He is survived by his children, Leo K. Edmunds (Rebecca) and Diane DiCioccio (Tom); grandchildren, Emily Cohen (DJ), Julianna DiCioccio, Tina Hartmann (Brian), Maria DiCioccio (Mike); great-grandson, Shane Cohen; sisters, Gladys Hastings, Patricia Butler; sisters-in-law, Gloria Garrow and Elaine Maimone (Dan) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
