Leo Bolaski

Leo A. Bolaski, 61, of Colonie, NY, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Born on July 23, 1964, in Albany, NY, he was the son of Leo C. Bolaski and the late Eileen C. Bolaski.

Leo began his military education at Christian Brothers Academy. Upon graduation, he entered the Army. Leo was very proud of his time in the military serving his country. Leo was a friend to many and enjoyed being with his family, social gatherings, hiking and participated on a volleyball team for years.

The most remarkable jobs Leo held over the years was his time working for NY State, Freihofer’s, Terminal Millwork & M&G Dura Vent.

Leo is predeceased by his mother, Eileen. 

He is survived by his father, Leo C Bolaski; his son, Kyle Bolaski; brother, Joseph Smith; sister, Sarah Decker; niece, Alexis Smith; nephews, Nicholas Smith, Michael, Matthew, Ryan and Riley Decker; his Aunt, Shirley Jobin, and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service to immediately follow, at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Military Honors will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
