ALBANY-Laura E. Holcomb, 64, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 30, 2017.
A lifelong Albany resident, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy Holcomb.
Laura was predeceased by her siblings, Leonard, Carolyn, Ronald and Stanley Holcomb.
She is survived by her sister and best friend, Merrill (Morris) Darden; the love of her life, Sammy Uzzell; her only son, Alonzo (Kellie) Williams; her grandsons, Paris and Geovanni Williams; nieces, Regina (Sturdivant) Harris, Stephanie Holcomb, Melanie (Holcomb) Dumers, Jennifer Holcomb, great-nieces and great nephews and her loving sisters-in-law.
Laura enjoyed the simple things in life. She felt great pride in loving her family and never missed a chance to pick up the phone and tell them so.
A funeral service to celebrate Laura's life will begin at 5pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Visitation will be held prior to services from 3-5pm.
