Kevin R. Gamble

August 31, 1966 — July 3, 2025

Albany

Kevin Gamble, 58, of Albany, New York, passed away on July 3rd, 2025.

Born in Albany, New York on August 31, 1966, he was the son of Carrie Gamble and the late James Gamble.

Kevin was a proud graduate of Colonie Central High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in economics and Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He built a successful and fulfilling career in human resources spanning over 25 years where he was deeply respected, not just for his dedication and expertise, but for his honesty, loyalty, and straightforward way of living. Kevin was known to say exactly what was on his mind and those who knew him admired his genuine spirit and strong faith in the Lord which guided him. Kevin was a man of true independence, sharp-witted and guided by an unwavering sense of who he was.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength, honesty and a life courageously lived on his own terms. Kevin will be remembered for his authenticity, his unwavering spirit, and the way he inspired those around him to stay true to themselves. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. He never lived to please others but stood firmly by his values and fiercely loved and protected those close to his heart. He cherished deep meaningful conversations and found joy in life's simple pleasures, a good meal, a heartfelt laugh, a quiet moment of reflection. Above all, Kevin believed in doing things the right way even when it was not the easiest path and in his quiet integrity, he touched everyone blessed enough to know him.

Kevin's faith was a beautiful example to all who knew him. He loved the Lord deeply and trusted Jesus as savior and we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in heaven. As scriptures remind us, for those in Christ to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and we rejoice knowing that Kevin heaven is now resting safely in His arms.

Kevin cherished his role as both a mentor and uncle to all his nephews and nieces. He was their biggest fan, proudly cheering them on their journeys. Kevin was always trying to help them find their own path in life and remember that he was with them every step of the way.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Carrie Gamble of Albany, NY, his brothers, Alvin Advadella of Loudonville, NY and David Gamble of Fort Lauderdale, FL, his beloved nephews, David Jr., Jordan, Zayden, and Quinton Gamble and his niece, Dominique Liley and a circle of close-knit family members, dear friends and chosen family who will forever hold his spirit in their hearts. Each of them carries with them the strength of his character and memories of a life that touched so many in the most genuine and lasting way.

Visitations for friends and family will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at New Comer Creations & Funerals from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Kevin's life will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, beginning with a viewing from 10:00–11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 95 4th Ave & Franklin St, Albany, NY 12202. Interment will follow and Evergreen Memorial Park. Family and friends will come together to cherish memories, share laughter, and honor Kevin's spirit in the way Kevin would have loved—with warmth, stories, and the joy Kevin brought to all.

In lieu of flowers, those who knew him are encouraged to live boldly, speak honestly, and do what they love, just as Kevin always did.
