Altamont- Kathleen E. Usher, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 3, 1945, in Troy, NY., and was the daughter of the late George and Gloria Corr. Kathleen was the devoted wife to John Richard Usher, Sr. They were married 58 years. Kathleen graduated from Catholic Central High School and obtained an accounting degree from Albany Business College.

Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her entire family and attending family gatherings. She was a lifelong avid Equestrian, even meeting her loving husband at an Open Jumping Event in Saratoga where she claims to have once bested him. Kathleen was a New York State Breeder of Thoroughbred horses. She enjoyed spending her free time bird watching, especially with her husband on their farm.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her son, John Richard (Lisa) Usher, Jr., Stephen (Dori) Usher, William Usher, Christopher (Melissa) Usher, and Jason (Shayna) Usher; grandchildren, Sydney, Jason, Christopher, and Charlotte; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is predeceased by her sister, Anna Collins.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205 on Friday August 15, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with a Celebration of life to begin at 6:00 pm.
