Kathleen "Kathie" McHale Hannaford

Kathleen McHale Hannaford, 76, passed away on January 4, 2025.

Born in Albany, Kathie was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Cahill) McHale.

Kathie was very active in her church and community, serving as a Eucharist minister and bereavement team. She was passionate about Women’s Rights, the WNBA, and was a environmental activist.

In addition to her parents, Kathie was predeceased by her husband, Allen D. Hannaford in 2017.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Bartlett of Rocky Mount, NC; daughter-in-love, Nicole Volungus (Tom); grandchildren, Katherine Mary McMahon, Devlin Volungus (Samantha), Alexandrea Kahabka (Justin), Kevin, Rebecca, and April Bartlett; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Kevin McHale (Margaret) and Mary Ellen Trudo (the late Joseph); and many cousins.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Christ the King, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathie’s name to Christ the King Church.
