Kathleen A Bauman

Kathleen A. Bauman (nee Bryne) , age 91 and lifelong resident of Albany, NY, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026 at Eden Hill Communities in New Braunfels, TX. Kathleen moved to Texas in 2018 to be closer to her daughter, Kathy and her family.

Kathleen married Frank S. Bauman in 1963 and they had three children: Francis, Kathy, and Violet. Kathleen was a loving and kind woman. She was a sweet but strong and quietly resilient person who lived a full and beautiful life. Her soft and peaceful presence will be missed.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents John and Laura Byrne (nee Dubuque), her brother John Byrne, Jr. and her sister, Christina Byrne. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Bauman Bowersox and her husband Tom of New Braunfels,TX, her son Francis and her daughter Violet, both of whom still live in the Albany area. Kathleen is also survived by her granddaughter Natalie Huml (nee Brown) and her husband Michael of Knoxville, TN.

Family and friends may join her Celebration of Life on FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2026.

9:00-10:00 am.

A Catholic Mass of Christian burial will then be held at Mater Christi Church at 11:00am

Friends and family are also invited to Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie directly following the mass.
