Kathleen M. Amedio, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Elizabeth M. Napierski.
Kathleen graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1959 and went on to attend the College of St. Rose, where she earned a degree in elementary education as a member of the original Class of Rosebuds. After teaching following graduation, she pursued a successful career at AT&T, where she dedicated 30 years before retiring.
Kathleen had a deep love for animals-especially her English Setters and cats. She was passionate about fitness and wellness, and enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod, hosting backyard celebrations and pool parties shared with her family and grandchildren. She was widely known for her caring nature and her unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased her beloved husband of 50 years, Ronald A. Amedio; brothers, Leonard G. Napierski and Robert J. Napierski.
She is survived by her children, David J. Amedio (Kim Young), Bryan C. Amedio (Ellen), Rebecca K. Delaney (Kevin); grandchildren, Isabella and Mea Amedio, Ántonia and Shamus Delaney; brother, Eugene E. Napierski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish her memory.
Services will be held private at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s memory can be made to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society or the Community Hospice.
