Julia Quickenton

Julia Quickenton, 86, passed away on March 28, 2026.

Julie was born in Albany, on August 3, 1939 to the late Isadore and Mary Rovelli.

Julie graduated from Colonie Central High School, where she met her love of her life. She retired from New York State, Dept of Health.

Julie enjoyed Gardening, Shopping, Baking, Crafting, and decorating her home for all Holidays. Above all, she loved being with her Family, always hosting Family dinners. Anyone who knew Julie knew she loved the color Red.

Julie was predeceased by her Husband, Joseph F. Quickenton Sr.; daughter, Lou Ann Blatnick; granddaughter, Carla Blatnick; brother, Anthony Rovelli; and sister, Angeline Nelson.

She was survived by children, Kathryn Riha (David), and Joseph F. Quickenton (Donna); her sister, MaryBeth Riley. She will be forever missed by her 9 Grandchildren, Julie (Ken) Manley, David Blatnick, Daniel (Kate) Quickenton, Brittany (Ken) Eisnor, Amanda (Seth) Newcomb, Katie (Shawn) Sutton, Benjamin Riha & Shane (Maranda) Blatnick; 12 Great Grandchildren, Kyla Manley, Jack Manley, Chloe Quickenton, Lucy Quickenton, Skyler Eisnor, Milo Quickenton, Landon Eisnor, Conrad Blatick, Vincent Sutton, Lailah Blatnick, Gianna Eisnor, and Rosalie Sutton; and her BFF, Margaret “Party Peg” Pelgrin.

The Family would also like to Thank Bonnie Sim, her Caretaker, who was not only good to our Mother, but very supportive to our Family.

Calling hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers the Family would ask to consider donating to the Dementia Society of America or the Church of St Clare.
