Josephine A. Guernsey

DELMAR- Josephine A. Guernsey, 91, passed into eternal life with her lord and savior on May 22, 2015, at Albany Medical Center.
Josephine was born on March 17, 1924 to the late Dominic and Philomena Sandoli, in Worcester, NY. She married Leon Guernsey in Worcester on September 15, 1946 and settled in Otego, NY. In 1965 they moved to Colonie, NY and remained there for 42 years. Josephine was a devoted wife and home maker, a hairdresser for 20 years in Delmar and a member of Colonie Christian Life Center. She spent winters in Zephyrhills, FL after retiring.
Josephine is predeceased by her loving husband, of 56 years, Leon, and her siblings; Tom Sandoli, Tore Sandoli, Fred Sandoli, Mary Sandoli, Tony Sandoli, and Virginia Cortese.
She is survived by her beloved children; Janet (Karl) Brustle, and William (The Rev. Justine) Guernsey, her cherished grandchildren; Kevin (April) Brustle, James (Jennifer) Guernsey, Timothy (Marie) Guernsey, and Justin Guernsey, and her adored great-grandchildren; Ella, Ethan, Joshua and Micah Brustle, and Isabella, Sophia, and Landon Guernsey.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on D5 at Albany Medical Center for their constant support and compassion. A private service will be held at a later date at St. Josephs Cemetery, Worcester, NY. Those wishing to honor Josie's memory may do so by making donations to Bethlehem Senior Projects Inc., 445 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY 12054
