Albany- Joseph R. Hallenbeck, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born on September 27, 1936 in Albany, a son of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Delahanty Hallenbeck.
Joe is survived by his lifelong partner of 42 years, Merry Lyng.
Joe and Merry owned Rose Cottages in Guilderland for many years, while Joe retired in 2003 from NYS OGS after 25 years. He was a member of the Guilderland Elks, the Dutch Settlers Society and enjoyed volunteering for the town of Guilderland.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
