ALBANY – Joseph J. Bullis Sr., 74, was born on July 27, 1943 and passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday February 18, 2018.
Joe was the son of the late Charles and Mary Bullis (Genovese). He was a graduate of Albany High School. On September 5, 1964, Joe married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Caroline Bullis (Gnat).
Joe initially worked for Laborers Local 190 and helped build the South Mall now known as the Empire State Plaza. He then worked for The New York States Division of Military and Naval Affairs as a Superintendent and retired after working there for 22 years. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and vacationing in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
In addition to his wife Caroline, Joe is survived by his sons Joseph J. Bullis Jr. and Brian Bullis; his daughter Tammy Dominy (Bullis) and her husband Rich Dominy Jr.; his grandchildren Shelby, Sarah, Austin, and great grandchildren Kyera, Valeri, and Korey. He is also survived by his brother Michael (Evelyn) Bullis; sister-in-law's Renee and Vicki Bullis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers John, Charles Jr., James, and sister in-law Patricia Bullis.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, NY 12205, on Saturday February 24, 2018 from 11am to 2pm. Private interment.
