Albany- Joseph Brunetto Jr., 75, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Joe was born in Johnstown, NY on July 31, 1941 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Tarnowski) Brunetto. Joe was a graduate of Albany High School in 1958. After graduation he began his career at the Times Union, where he retired as a production manager in 2005. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Peggie Erwin. They were married for 52 years. Joe will be remembered for his love of traveling with his wife and friends. His passion in life was rooting for the New York Yankees.
Joe is predeceased by his brothers; Donald Brunetto, and Rosairo Brunetto.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggie Brunetto, his children; Joseph (Brenda) M. Brunetto, and Joyce (Michael) M. Peterson, his three grandchildren; Bram and Aiden Peterson, and Joseph C. Brunetto, his siblings; Thomas (Maguy) Brunetto, and Rosann Brunetto, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205 at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
Joe's family would like to thank all the staff at Eddie Village Green at House One, for all their kindness and compassion during Joe's stay.
