Joseph M. Bonafide, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, with his loving family by his side.
Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Rosetta Bonafide. He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Loretta (Tozzi) Bonafide.
Joe was a self employed construction accountant and consultant for many years.
He loved working outside, going to the beach, drawing, sweets, family cook outs and watching the British Comedies, especially Keeping Up Appearances. He treasured the holidays and spending time with his family and furry friends.
In addition to his wife, Loretta, Joe is survived by his children; Sara Bonafide and Rachel (Jarrod) Jacobson. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Bonafide and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm. Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, especially Pastor Wally, for all of their care and compassion given to Joe and his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, Inc. "LBDA" 912 Killian Rd. S.W., Liburn, GA 30047 in Joe's memory.
