Schenectady- Joseph P. Barnett, 73, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Joseph was the son of the late James and Mildred Barnett. Joseph was the devoted husband to the Sandra Barnett. They were married 50 years.
Joe enjoyed collecting baseball and football cards, along with going to the movies. Joe was a devoted father and a loving husband.
Joe is survived by his children, Michelle, Renee, and Joseph, Jr.; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his sisters, Susan and Mary; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Linda and Kevin for all of their support.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare's Church, Colonie on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 9:00 am. A Graveside Service will follow at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to St. Clare's Church.
