ALBANY- Johnie W. LaMere, Jr., 20, passed away in peace and comfort surrounded by his loved ones on January 17, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
He was born on February 11, 1997 son of Johnie W. LaMere Sr. and Sherrie Blodgett in Albany.
Johnie was born with the spirit of a survivor. He overcame health issues early in life and continued to live life with a positive outlook and winning attitude. Johnie chose to take everyday as it came and to cherish every moment of his life with friends and family. The magnitude of Johnie's life will continue to impact all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Johnie would want those who survive without him to laugh and smile. He would want the memory of him to be one of joy and not of sadness. He will always be remembered and as Johnie would say, "don't be soft".
Johnie is survived by his father, Johnie W. LaMere and mother, Sherrie Blodgett (Rich Dominy); brothers, Pasquale Tuscano and Josh LaMere; nephews, Jameson and Julian Tuscano; cousins, Ashley, Matthew and Jack; aunt, Daniele; grandmother, Ellen Blodgett and his beloved husky, Two Tone. Johnie also leaves to cherish his memories many friends.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Patricia and Richard LaMere and maternal grandfather, Walter Blodgett.
A time of remembrance will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4-6pm.
