John S. Williams

John S. Williams, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20th, 2026.

Born in 1946 in Troy, New York to the late Bill and Mary Williams.

John was an avid nature lover. Depending on the season, he could be found walking the beach or the forest being surrounded by the woods he enjoyed making art with. In addition to woodworking, he wrote poems and more recently enjoyed singing karaoke at his favorite bar, DeeDee’s.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Williams and several family members.

John is survived by his children, Nanette Capano and Bryan Williams. His grandchildren, Caysie Capano and Nicholas Capano. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and his partner and best friend, Sabine. 

The family would like to extend their upmost gratitude to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital for the care and dedication provided to John. 

As well as a special thanks to New Comer Cremations and Funerals for their kindness and respect during this difficult time. 

Per John’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Future service arrangements to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the American Cancer Society.
