John G. Veith

John G. Veith, 68, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Lothar F. Veith and Marilyn E. (Shaver) Veith. John carried with him throughout his life a deep appreciation for family, music, nature, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.

A gifted and passionate musician, John was talented on several instruments and played each with remarkable skill and feeling. His love of music was a defining part of who he was, leading him to attend many concerts and share his enthusiasm with others. Whether performing or listening, music was his constant companion and a source of great fulfillment.

John also found peace and enjoyment in the outdoors. He loved camping and spending time in nature, where he felt most at home. His gentle spirit extended to animals as well; he had a special fondness for them and cared deeply about their well-being.

He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Stafford (Mac), Christopher Veith (JoAnne), Jane Weaver (James), and Robert Veith (Kathy). John was a proud and loving uncle to his niece, Janel Weaver. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet strength, and the music he brought into the lives of those who knew him.

Respecting John’s wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to a local animal rescue organization.
