John T. Sheridan, Sr.

Watervliet- John T. Sheridan, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late John and Anna Sheridan. John was the loving husband to Barbara Sheridan. They were married 48 years.

After graduating from high school, John enlisted in the United States Navy where we served proudly until his honorable discharge. John went on to work as a Chemical Operator for General Electric until his retirement.

John enjoyed playing darts, going for boat rides, and camping with his family. He could always be found making others smile with his jokes.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Ken, Patrick, Kathy, Mary, Louie, Candy, Randy, and John, Jr.; many grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased, by his son, E.J.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:30pm. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford, New York.
