John F. Pailley, 70 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on August 19,1955, he was the beloved son of the late Gloria (Deno) Pailley and Marcel Pailley.
John grew up in Halfmoon and graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1974. He worked for Town and Country Painting in Clifton Park for many years. Eventually he started his own painting company 3P Painting. He did commercial painting for many large construction companies. He then worked from the late 1990’s until he retired for Town of Clifton Park Highway Department.
As a child John always loved model trains, a hobby he still enjoyed as an adult. He was an avid NASCAR fan and attended many races over the years with his friends. He was a big Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr. fan. He loved to camp “off the grid” and went as often as he could. John was a huge animal lover having many dogs and cats throughout his life.
Survivors include his sons Micheal Pailley and John Pailley, his grandchildren Emily, Mikey, Jonathan, Natalie and Leah. John is also survived by three nephews and a niece. His ex-wives Penny Tognaci and Debbie Ritz also survive him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Donald Pailley, his sister Jeanine McGivern, and his sister Jane Pailley.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189 on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm with a brief service at 4pm.
