John D. McNulty

Albany

John D McNulty, 81, of Albany NY, passed away peacefully on November 7th, 2024, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. Born on May 1, 1943, in Long Island, NY, the son of the late Joseph & Lillie McNulty.

He was raised in Albany, NY and after finishing school, enlisted in the United States Army, serving 3 years, before working for Clarity Publishing as a typesetter. John went to work for the New York State Bar Association in 1981 as a printer until his retirement. In addition to his work, John volunteered at the Teresian House for many years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Affairs in Colonie.

John is known for his love of NASCAR, the Giants, hockey and his cats Buddy and June Bug. 

 He was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeanne (Loucks) McNulty, and his brothers Neil and Joseph McNulty.

John is survived by his daughters Kathleen (Matthew) Galka, Colleen McNulty; grandchildren Michael Galka, Raymond Galka, Catherine (Jared) Joyce, and Christian Opel; great grandchildren, Haisley, Rilyn, Jasper, and Grayson; his sister Kathleen (Eugene) Farnan, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 A committal service will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 11:30am on Thursday, November 14, 2024
