ALBANY- John "Michael" McCabe, 53, died on Saturday, July 07, 2018, suddenly at home due to a complication of his seizure disorder.
Loving husband of Theresa Jasiewicz McCabe and devoted father of John and Daniel.
Predeceased by his parents, Stella Mika and Thomas J. McCabe.
Also survived by his sister Donna (James) Witty, brother Kelly (Catherine) McCabe, brothers-in-law Jack Jasiewicz (Claudia), James (Tammy) Jasiewicz, Thomas (Amy) Jasiewicz, sister-in-law Janice (Sal) Galazzo, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was dedicated to his family, friends and his lifelong career in the food service industry.
Mike loved relaxing with family and friends whenever he could. His sense of humor lit up the room and we will forever remember our times together. He had a way with people and to know Mike was to love him. He will be deeply missed.
A private celebration of Mike's life for family and friends will be celebrated on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 5 pm -8 pm with a brief service led by Father Francis O'Connor at 5:30 pm. Reach out to the family for the location.
On Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 9:30 am, Mass at the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas (formerly St. Patrick's Church), 273 Central Avenue, Albany, will be offered for Michael. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albany Community Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 310 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY.
