John J. Donnelly

John "Jack" J. Donnelly, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Tower Nursing and Rehab Center in Raleigh, NC with his loving wife by his side.

Jack was born on December 2, 1928 in New York, NY. He was the manager of Del Lanes Bowling Alley in Delmar over 30 years. His passion was Ham Radio - call sign "WA2YBM" where he was an operator from 1977 through 2014, where he made an enormous amount of life long friends. He loved to go camping at Bulwagga Bay at Lake Champlain with his family members including his cribbage rival, Floyd Marr, Sr.

Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 60 years, Edwina "Skip" (Watson) Donnelly; his niece, Donna (Mark) Rising; his nephews, George Marr, Floyd Marr, Jr., Richard (Carol) Marr and Roger Marr; numerous great nieces and great nephews, and his K-9 companion, Sage. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Joanne Donnelly.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 15th, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
