John J. Creech, Jr.

ROTTERDAM- John J. Creech Jr., age 79, passed away surrounded by family on July 4, 2026.

He was born in Troy, the son of the late John Sr. and Agnes Fitzgerald Creech. He was also predeceased by his brother Brien and his sister Helena Browe.

John graduated from Averill Park High School and earned two Associates degrees at Hudson Valley Community College. He retired from Verizon after 38 years as a Central Office Technician.

He was a member of the Ward Pond Club in Saranac, NY, where he gathered with his “buddies” for weekend outings. He enjoyed going antiquing, boating, hunting, fishing and camping.

John is survived by his wife Nancy; son John III (Raelynn); grandchildren: Brooke (Franziska), Kyle (Natalie), Brianna, Keshaun and Jaida; sister Maureen and close friends Larry and Betsy Smith. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Per John’s wishes, no services will be held.
