N.GREENBUSH-John J. Cassala, 58 passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 26, 2015. He was born in Albany, NY the son of Rose (DePremis) Cassala and the late Vincent M. Cassala. He was employed by United Rentals in Clifton Park. John lived for his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Jayden. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. John enjoyed spending time at Saratoga Racetrack during the race season and spending time at the beach, especially Clearwater, FL.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Marybeth (Lange) Cassala; his loving children Natalie (Michael) Kosar, Timothy (Falon) Cassala and Nicole Cassala and cherished grandson Jayden Michael Cassala and expected granddaughter Mila Cassala. He also leaves behind his dog Cooper. John is also survived by his mother Rose A. (DePremis) Cassala; brothers Vincent M. Cassala and Paul B. Cassala and a large extended family of brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, John was predeceased by his sister Mary Chris Cassala and mother in law Dot Lange.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany.
The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather on Wednesday at 4:30 PM for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
