Joanne LaHart

Joanne Cocucci LaHart, 82, of Glenville, New York, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the home of her daughter after a short battle with lung cancer. 

Born on August 2, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Camilio Cocucci and Mary Koval, Joanne attended Cardinal Mooney High School and became a Registered Nurse through the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, Youngstown, in 1963. 

Joanne and her husband Donald moved from Youngstown OH to Texas and ultimately settled in Burnt Hills, NY to raise their family. 

She worked as an registered nurse for over 40 years at many local hospitals, with the majority of her career at St. Clare’s Hospital in the emergency department. She had an intense love of golf and scored two holes in one during her 32 years as a member of the Edison Club. 

Joanne had a fierce spirit and love of life that she shared with her friends and family. 

She was predeceased by Donald, her husband of 49 years. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly (David) Cummins of Niskayuna, New York and their two children Ian and Jacob, and her son Scott (Camilla) LaHart of Nesodden, Norway and their two daughters Madison and Keira. 

She is also survived by her partner Johnny C. who provided support, care, and companionship with her these last few years. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205.
