ALBANY
Joann Dolores (Regina) King, age 67, of Albany, passed away on June 20, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Joann was born on January 22, 1950 in Albany to Andrew and Ida Regina. She lived a life of faith and service and was the first to come to the aid of family, friends, and strangers in need. Joann volunteered at the Saint James Food Pantry for more than 20 years. Joann's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her genuinely loving nature, her laughter and sense of humor, and the feasts she prepared for friends and family. Joann is survived by her son Vincent Lecce and his wife Sheila (Hart) Lecce of Rochester, daughter Jackie (Lecce) Miller and her husband Scott of Denver, Colorado, and daughter Andrea King of Albany; her grandchildren, Vincent Lecce, Stella Lecce, Tessa Miller and Eliza Miller; sister Sandra (Regina) Sansone and twin sister Jacqueline (Regina) Dushensky, her brothers-in-law, Vito Sansone and George Dushensky, and nephews Andrew Sansone, George Dushensky and Andrew Dushensky.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, on Friday, June 23, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The funeral will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly Church of St. James) 391 Delaware Ave, Albany, on Saturday, June 24 at 10 a.m., where the mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
