Listen to Obituary

JoAnn Foust born April 18,1939, in Englewood, New Jersey, to the late Harry Mills of Santo, Domingo and the late Sally Warrick of South Boston, VA. God called her home on December 31, 2025.

JoAnn remained in New Jersey with her father until the age of 12, while her mother moved to Brooklyn, New York, to care for her grandmother. At 12 years old, JoAnn joined her mother, the late Sally Warrick, and her late Aunt Suzie Bell in Brooklyn. It was there that she met the love of her life, her late husband, Baxter Lee Foust Jr. On December 3, 1955, at just sixteen years old, JoAnn Warrick and Baxter Lee Foust Jr. were united in marriage.

She was employed with Merrill Lynch, NY Fire Department, Bassolino Plumbing, and Albany Medical Center where she retired.

JoAnn was a wonderful cook who loved music, dancing, and drawing. She was very active in her community, serving on tenant patrol and participating in her children’s school as a member of the school board. She also belonged to a club with many families in her building, where they organized bus rides, dances, card games, and other activities. JoAnn had a deep love for children, and her home was always full—whether with family or friends, there was always someone there.

In 2000, JoAnn moved to Albany to be closer to her children. She reconnected with relatives there and formed many new friendships. JoAnn was deeply loved by all who knew her.

JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother, sister-in-law and friend. She will be missed dearly. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren so very much.
