Joan Shevy

Colonie- Joan Shevy, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born in Troy on May 14, 1931. Joan is predeceased by her husband Joseph and daughter Christine Shevy.

Joan was a member of the Toe Tappers and would visit nursing homes to entertain the residents. Joan worked for 20 plus years at The Desmond as a waitress. She also enjoyed Lake George where the family had a camp and visiting Florida where they had a condo. Joan always put everyone before her. She was a loving and dedicated mother and wife. She never missed a birthday or holiday.

Joan is survived be her two sons Scott Shevy (Sherry) and Michael Shevy (Bonnie Piazza). She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Kristina, Joseph, James, Laura and Jarron.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
