Joan R. Cushing

Albany- Joan R. Cushing, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, November 17, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Joan was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Coons. Joan was the devoted wife to the late George Cushing. They were married 49 years.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She loved spending time at the beach and the outdoors.

Joan is survived by her sons John and his wife Kim, Timothy, Stephen, Matthew and his wife Emily; grandchildren, Gabriel, Kasey and Stanislaw.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:00am with a burial at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave, Colonie, NY 12205.
