Joan M. Bianchine

Joan Bianchine, 94, of Albany, NY, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving granddaughter, Lauryn and daughter, Susan, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joan lived a beautiful life grounded in love, strength, and faith. She was a devoted mother of six, Mima to thirteen grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren that brought her immense pride and joy.

Joan’s life reflected her commitment to both family and community. She built a successful career with the NYS Criminal Justice Department, served as President of Albie Plumbing, and was an active member of the Colonie Republican Party for many years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert; daughter, Cathy; grandsons, John William and Joseph Artchey; and son-in-law, William Bradley.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Kelly), Susan, Patricia (Peter), Timothy (Kathy), and Matthew (Jill); and son-in-law Michael Connell; and grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to NYOH, Dr. Kambam, Stephanie Mead, NP, and the dedicated infusion nurses for the exceptional care and kindness they provided. Special thanks to Andrea Ocasio, Joan’s devoted assistant, for her daily love and support; to Ann, her favorite baker, and Phil, her martini maker and dear friends, for their warmth and care. The family is most grateful to her granddaughter, Lauryn, whose unwavering love and daily care brought comfort and peace.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
