Albany - Jerome J. Morrow, "Jay", 78, passed away at home on Saturday, January 14, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Jay was the son of the late Conrad and Gertrude Morrow. Jay was the devoted husband to Sandra Morrow. They were married 43 years.
Jay retired from the New York State Troopers as a Sargeant. He was a member of NYSPHSAA and enjoyed officiating high school football and baseball games. He also was a proud volunteer of the Patriot Flight for Veterans. He loved sports, especially football & the Miami Dolphins, fishing, gardening, traveling, and making people laugh with his snarky sense of humor. His favorite times were spent with family and friends.
Jay was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and Richard "Dick" Morrow.
Jay is survived by his children, Karen (Rich) Waltein, Linda (Bob) Davis, Susan (Matt) Ros, Jennifer (William) Pruitt and stepson Nick Wagner; five grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Madison, Matthew and Thomas; his sister Connie, and many loving nieces and nephews. His cats Bandit and Vanity will also miss their cuddle buddy dearly.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at New Comer Funerals and Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, on Friday January 20, 2017 from 4pm to 6 pm. A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 6pm. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
