Jeffrey M. Zakrzewski

GANSEVOORT – Jeffrey M. Zakrzewski, 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2026.

Jeffrey was born in Troy, where he attended schools in Lansingburgh, graduating in 1989.

A patriotic American, Jeffrey proudly served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard.

He later attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Jeffrey was one who was defined by his passions in life; he was a pro bass fisherman and an avid hunter. He cherished his children and was a Yankees fan. Jeffrey loved his cats, having fun and goofing around.

He will truly be missed.

He was predeceased by his father, Thomas R. Zakrzewski, Sr. in 1999.

Jeffrey is survived by his children, Sophia and Justin; his brothers, Thomas (Kristin) and David (Michael); his mother, Jennie Blackburn; several aunts and uncles and three nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Troy.
