Rotterdam- Jeffrey J. Brayman, age 70, passed away peacefully. He was born in Troy, NY, the son of the late Leon Brayman Sr. and Bertha Milano (Frank).
Jeffrey was a Retired Veteran of 22 years, serving with the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Jeffrey was also a Millwright for Ardent Mills in Albany, NY, where he retired after 40 years. During his active-duty years, Jeffrey was stationed in Little Creek, VA, serving aboard the USS BOULDER LST 1190 as an Engineman. Jeffrey set sail on many deployments to the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Jeffrey visited Egypt, Spain, Italy, England, Germany, Guantánamo Bay Cuba, St. Thomas, and the Virgin Islands. Jeffrey was also aboard the USS BOULDER during deployment while his ship was one of the first wartime ships to sail through the Suez Canal.
He loved and was an avid bowler, bowling with the Knights of St. John. He enjoyed playing darts, watching as well as attending Nascar races, going deep sea fishing, hunting, and motorcycles. Jeffrey loved going to the beach in Ocean City, MD, where he vacationed annually with family. He was a Die-Hard NY Yankees fan, as well as a San Francisco 49ers fan. Jeffrey cherished spending time with his 8 grandchildren, as well attending their dance recitals and sporting events. Jeffrey was a member of the Guilderland Elks Lodge #2480.
Jeffrey is survived by his beloved and cherished wife, JoAnn; children: Jeffrey A. Brayman (Jaime), Jodi Coons (Josh) and Tonya Brayman; grandchildren: Skyler, Cleopatra, Arielle, Lucille, Trinity, Ethan, Serenity and Jaxon, as well as a sister-in-law, Dawn Runyon (Darrel), many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and many cousins.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his siblings: Sandy Daioczok, Leon Brayman Jr., Joseph Brayman, and Donna Lawton.
Graveside services with full Military Honors to be held on February 24th, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
