COLONIE- Jean M. Pastore, 68, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born in Albany, NY on April 15, 1948 to the late Ford and Betty Schermerhorn. Jean was a loyal employee to the NYS Dept. of Transportation, and in 2005 she retired as a civil engineer with over 20 years of service.
Jean is predeceased by her husband, William Pastore, and her loving sister, Janice Howard.
She is survived by her children; Leslie (Nicole) Johnston III, Wendy (Heidi) Johnston, and Tony Pastore, her grandchildren; Leslie, Emily, Aiden, Ethan, Alex, Zack, and Maddie, her mother-in-law, Lucille Pastore, and her siblings; Joyce (Roger) Woodruff, Glenn (Diane) Schermerhorn, June (George) Schubert, and Stephen Smith.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, Colonie Chapel, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Regional Food Bank, 965 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12110. Or the Habitat for Humanity, 325 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205
