Schenectady- Jean M. DeFilippo, 82, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Jean was the daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude McGann and was the devoted wife of the late Anthony V. DeFilippo.
Jean was the loving and strong Matriarch of her family, always helping those in need. She was proud of her sons and the work she accomplished during her life. For someone so small, she was larger than life.
Jean is survived by her sons, Jay (Donna) DeFilippo, Donald V. DeFilippo, and Kenneth (Heidi) DeFilippo, grandchildren, Christine Smith, and Scott and Shannon DeFilippo, brother in law, Thomas Olena, and sister in law, Regina McGann.
Along with her beloved husband and parents, Jean is predeceased by her siblings, Jack (Emma), Joe (Elenor), Billy, and Donald McGann, Erlene (George) Phillips, Maura (Richard) Loehr, and Joan Olena.
Calling hours will be held privately at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers for Jean and her family, the family would like donations and checks made payable to The Community Hospice and send to:
