Jean G. Betts

GUILDERLAND- Jean G. Betts, age 78, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 3, 2026.

Jean was born on October 7, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Ephrem John and Mary Gilbert Frasso. She was predeceased by her sister Judy MacDermott, brothers: Robert Frasso of Hobbie, PA, John Frasso of Nescopeck, PA, and Gilbert Frasso of Nescopeck, PA.

Jean graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn and attended Kings Community College. She was a lover of books and an avid reader. Jean loved singing, making crafts, everything "Snoopy" and playing cards with friends. Her passion and love for the holidays were known and felt by her family and friends.

Jean was employed as a Bookstore Manager at Polytechnic University on Long Island and later at Penn State University in Hazelton, PA. In her retirement years, she enjoyed driving a school van for special needs students and running summer camp for her local church.

Jean is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond D. Betts; her daughters: Gina Betts, Schenectady; Jennifer Fahsel, Guilderland; and son Michael and wife Jessica Betts, Sprakers, NY. She is also survived by her five granddaughters: Kasia Fahsel, Makenna Fahsel, Gabrielle Betts, Cecelia Betts, and Luna Betts; nieces and nephews: Natalie Caruso, Alysa Sullivan, Danielle Wright, Christopher Frasso, and Anthony Frasso.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
