Jasper Underdue

Albany- Jasper L. Underdue, 80, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017. Born in Henrico, NC on January 11, 1937, Jasper was the son of the late William and Martha (Adkins) Underdue. Jasper was married to Frances Bowler in 1957. He worked for many years for AT&T before his retirement in 1999. Jasper loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Jasper was predeceased by his brothers: Wilbur, William and Thomas; his sisters: Blanche, Ozella and Mattie. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances; his step son, Gary Bowler; his daughters: Vanessa Waters, Teresa Underdue and Pamela (James) Turner; his sisters: Hazel, Edna, Elizabeth and Millicent; grandchildren: Danielle Waters and Eric Dixon, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Meyanni Waters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday, September 8 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Ave, Albany, NY 12205 . A service will be held at 12 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
